KLD in partnership with McCare Global Consulting, Inc., has officially marked the successful conclusion of its inaugural Virtual Assistant (VA) Basic Training Program. This pioneer initiative, which launched on February 13, 2026, was designed to bridge the gap between academic theory and the practical demands of the global remote workforce. By offering the course at no cost to a select group of 15 participants, comprising both KLD alumni and graduating students, the program has established a new benchmark for local career development.
The program’s impact was felt immediately, even before the final certificates were issued. Highlighting the direct marketability of the curriculum, one trainee, Ms. Kristal, secured a position as a Finance VA while the course was still in progress. This early success served as a testament to the intensive, hands-on nature of the training, which focused on essential digital tools, client management, and professional portfolio building. The curriculum moved beyond basic concepts to ensure that every participant achieved "industrial preparedness," effectively transforming students from uncertain applicants into job-ready professionals prepared for international clients.
Feedback from the first batch of graduates reflects a shift in both skill and confidence. Trainees such as Ms. Talipan and Mr. Mata noted that the immersive experience provided them with the practical wisdom and technical mastery required to excel in a competitive global market. Another graduate, Ms. Polo, remarked on the depth of the profession, noting that the training revealed the high level of dedication and skill necessary for a successful VA career.
With a 100% completion rate, the first batch has set a high standard for future cohorts. Judea Arthuree B. Aquino, Lead of the Alumni Career Enhancement and Services Unit, emphasized that this initiative remains a core part of the institution's mission to provide world-class opportunities for the youth of Dasmariñas. As the academy looks forward, the partnership between KLD and McCare Global Consulting, Inc. continues to strengthen the foundation for Filipino workers to compete and thrive in the digital economy.
