Leading the charge in maternal and child health is Gerenilyn Cristel O. Samson, a standout from the Diploma in Midwifery Batch 2023. She describes her journey as a connection between her professional work as a hospital midwife and her ongoing roles as a student and leader. She emphasizes that her experiences strengthen her "commitment to serve mothers, babies, and the patients with compassion, knowledge, and leadership". Her ultimate goal is to "keep learning while inspiring others to grow in the field of healthcare".

Currently a Virtual Administrator for a New Zealand-based firm, Kristalyn highlights the importance of institutional partnerships. Similarly, Renzon Joyner, a BS Information Systems alumnus from the Batch of 2015, has established himself as a versatile independent contractor for three international firms. Operating as a Full Stack Web Application Developer, WordPress Developer, and Graphic Designer. Renzon reflects on how his academic program helped him "turn his interest in technology into practical skills in systems and web development". He now utilizes these skills to "build real applications and work with international teams".
In the specialized field of behavioral health, Joyme Tiausas of BS Psychology Batch 2025 is making an impact as a Behavioral Therapist. Tiausas dedicates her expertise to supporting children with special needs, particularly those with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques. Her degree provided the essential understanding of human development and psychological conditions required to implement effective support strategies. Tiausas notes that her time at KLD was instrumental in developing the patience, observation skills, and critical thinking necessary to foster independence and communication in her young clients.
