Building a Strong Foundation for Every Regal
The Office of the Vice President for Regal Formation and Student Life (OVPRFSL) continues to cultivate a vibrant, student-centered learning environment through a series of strategic initiatives that prepared both students and personnel for a meaningful and productive Academic Year 2026–2027. Guided by KLD's commitment to holistic formation, the Office successfully implemented its Onboarding Program, Institutional Students' Orientation, and Back-to-School Program, ensuring that every Regal begins the academic year equipped with knowledge, purpose, and a strong sense of belonging.
The journey began with the "Ready, Set, Support" Onboarding Program, which strengthened collaboration among OVPRFSL personnel by aligning them with the Office's strategic priorities, operational plans, and institutional goals. Through comprehensive orientation sessions, team-building activities, and collaborative discussions, the program reinforced professionalism, accountability, innovation, and service excellence, ensuring that every member of the Office was prepared to deliver quality programs and services to the KLD community throughout the academic year.
To provide incoming students with a confident start to their collegiate journey, OVPRFSL also conducted the Institutional Students' Orientation, welcoming 2,215 freshmen from various academic programs. Through coordinated presentations from the College's academic and student service offices, participants gained a comprehensive understanding of KLD's vision, institutional policies, student support services, leadership opportunities, and campus resources. Garnering an overall satisfaction rating of 85.53%, the orientation successfully fostered a welcoming environment while equipping new Regals with the knowledge and support needed to thrive academically and personally.
Complementing these efforts was the campus-wide Back-to-School Program, which officially welcomed both new and returning students through a celebration of school spirit, student engagement, and Regal pride. Featuring performances by recognized student organizations, the Regal Symphonic Band, interactive activities, and the distribution of "Welcome Regals Cookies," the program created an atmosphere of enthusiasm, inclusivity, and community. More importantly, it strengthened students' sense of belonging and reinforced KLD's commitment to providing a supportive and engaging learning environment from the very first day of classes.
Through these initiatives, the Office of the Vice President for Regal Formation and Student Life continues to demonstrate that student success extends beyond the classroom. By nurturing a culture of excellence, collaboration, leadership, and holistic development, OVPRFSL remains steadfast in its mission of forming Regals who are academically competent, socially responsible, and committed to Building the Foundation for the Dasmarineños.
