The Kolehiyo ng Lungsod ng Dasmariñas (KLD) proudly congratulates Mr. Bien M. Annonuevo, Lead of the Mission and Development Unit under the Center of Mission, Linkages, and External Relations (CMLER), for being recognized as Employee of the Month. This well-deserved recognition reflects his exemplary leadership, commitment to institutional development, and dedication to advancing KLD's mission through impactful community engagement, service-learning, and sustainability initiatives.
Among his notable accomplishments is the successful conduct of the institutional capacity-building seminar for the C.A.T.E.R.P.I.L.L.A.R.S. Program (Community Action Through Education and Responsibility by Promoting Inclusivity, Leadership, Learning to Achieve Resilience and Sustainability). The seminar brought together KLD's associate deans, program chairpersons, and faculty representatives to strengthen the integration of service-learning into the curriculum. Through practical workshops and strategic planning, participants were equipped with the tools to develop community-centered learning experiences that align with KLD's Vision, Mission, and General Goal 3 of actively engaging Dasmareños in the continuous development of the city.
Mr. Annonuevo also spearheaded several impactful community extension initiatives that further strengthened KLD's commitment to social responsibility. Through the T.R.E.A.D. Program (Transformative Rehabilitation through Education, Advancement, and Development), he facilitated partnerships with the Pearl of the Orient International Auxiliary Chaplain Values Educators Inc., the Institute of Computing and Digital Innovations (ICDI), and the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) Dasmariñas City Jail, resulting in the donation of desktop computers to support the educational needs of persons deprived of liberty enrolled in the Bachelor of Science in Information Systems program. This initiative reinforces KLD's commitment to inclusive education and rehabilitation through learning.
Under his leadership, the Mission and Development Unit also successfully organized meaningful environmental stewardship activities involving KLD's graduating students. These included a tree-planting activity participated in by the Bachelor of Science in Information Systems, Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Bachelor of Science in Midwifery graduating students in partnership with the City Agriculture Office, as well as a clean-up drive conducted by the graduating BS Psychology and BS Information Systems students across the KLD campus and surrounding public areas. These initiatives provided students with opportunities to give back to the City of Dasmariñas, promote environmental sustainability, and demonstrate that education extends beyond the classroom through active community service.
Through his visionary leadership, dedication to community engagement, and commitment to transformative education, Mr. Bien M. Annonuevo continues to inspire the KLD community in advancing programs that create lasting impact.
