A new operational framework is now in effect at the Kolehiyo ng Lungsod ng Dasmariñas as the institution transitions to a four-day compressed workweek. This shift, formalized through a directive from the Center for People Operations on March 18, 2026, aligns with broader energy conservation goals while maintaining the momentum of academic activities. The guidelines specifically address the scheduling needs of regular workweeks, ensuring that all campus offices remain functional despite the reduced number of on-site days.
Under this arrangement, the physical campus operates on a condensed schedule from Monday to Thursday, with specific adjustments made for faculty and administrative staff. For the remainder of the regular term, the Friday and Saturday schedules have transitioned to a work-from-home or "Flipped Classroom" model. This approach allows educators to record discussions and deliver instructions remotely, provided they log their attendance through official digital channels.
Administrative and institutional support staff are also following the four-day on-site rotation, with their work hours extended to cover the required weekly load within fewer days. To ensure no disruption in service, the college has mandated that attendance be strictly monitored via Google Forms for all remote work periods. While most departments follow this compressed cycle, certain special programs including Clinical Duties, Related Learning Experiences (RLE), and NSTP Immersions continue to operate at their designated external locations to meet specific curriculum requirements.
Compliance remains a top priority as these new measures take hold. Any deviations from the established work arrangements require formal approval from the Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs and the Office of the President. By balancing the need for energy reduction with the demands of a rigorous academic calendar, KLD aims to create a more efficient working environment that supports both its staff's productivity and the institution's environmental responsibilities.
