Kolehiyo ng Lungsod ng Dasmariñas is proud to announce that the Institute of Nursing has officially been named as the Office of the Month! The ION earned this well-deserved recognition after their successful 5th bloodletting activity. Held last April 14, 2026, the lifesaving event was put together in close partnership with Pagamutan ng Dasmariñas Blood Bank Department.
The turnout for the event was highly commendable, with a total of 244 registered donors stepping forward to support the community. Through the efficient coordination of the nursing team and hospital staff, 158 successful blood donations were collected, boosting local healthcare reserves. Prioritizing safety and strict medical protocols, the team conducted thorough screenings of all participants, which resulted in 77 deferred donors, 9 unsuccessful donation attempts, and zero recorded cases of Transfusion-Transmissible Infections (TTIs).
Organizing a drive like this is no small feat, and the Institute of Nursing faculty, staff, and student volunteers handled it like absolute pros. This recognition is well-deserved praise for a team that constantly goes above and beyond for public health. Congratulations , Institute of Nursing and keep making KLD proud!
