KLD proudly recognizes Mr. Christopher Malay as our Employee of the Month. Serving in multiple roles including Director of the Elpidio F. Barzaga, Jr. Research Centers for Sustainable Governance, Head of the Department of Life Sciences, and Program Chair for BS Life Sciences. Mr. Malay has demonstrated an exceptional commitment to both administrative excellence and scientific advancement. His leadership has been a driving force behind the institution's recent successes in community outreach and academic research.

A primary highlight of his recent work is the successful execution of "Project INSPIRE: Preparing Innovations for Research Exploration." This two-day extension activity saw KLD’s Institute of Science and Mathematics partner with Dasmariñas East Integrated High School (DEIHS). Under Mr. Malay’s direction, the initiative focused on strengthening academic ties through high-level research discussions and statistical analysis training. By bridging the gap between secondary and higher education, he has helped create a clear path for the next generation of local scientists to follow.

Beyond his work with community extension, Mr. Malay continues to elevate the profile of KLD through his personal academic contributions. His recent research publications stand as a mark of his dedication to his field, ensuring that the Department of Life Sciences remains at the cutting edge of scientific inquiry. By balancing his responsibilities as a director, department head, and researcher, he sets a high standard for faculty and staff alike.

We congratulate Mr. Malay on this well-deserved recognition and thank him for his tireless work in shaping the future of science education in our community!
