In celebration of Mental Health Awareness Month 2026, the Institute of Student Affairs, Character Education and Citizenship, together with the Guidance and Counseling Services and Career Advice Unit, proudly launches a meaningful initiative centered on the theme, “Together for Mental Health: Building a Culture of Care.”
The celebration aims to bring the community together in promoting greater understanding, compassion, and support for mental health and well-being. Through various engaging and interactive activities, students, faculty members, and participants are encouraged to take part in conversations and experiences that foster awareness, empathy, and emotional resilience.
The month-long observance highlights the importance of creating safe and supportive spaces where individuals feel seen, heard, valued, and cared for. It also serves as a reminder that mental health is an essential part of overall well-being and that collective efforts play a vital role in building a healthier and more compassionate academic community.
Participants can look forward to activities designed to encourage open dialogue, strengthen connections, and promote positive mental health practices within the institution. Through these initiatives, the organizers hope to inspire a culture where seeking support, expressing emotions, and caring for one another are embraced without stigma or fear.
The celebration reflects the institution’s continuing commitment to student welfare, holistic development, and community care. By coming together in support of mental health awareness, the KLD community reinforces the message that no one has to face challenges alone.
Indeed, Mental Health Awareness Month 2026 stands as a meaningful reminder that through understanding, unity, and compassion, communities can create lasting positive change and build a culture of care for everyone.
