Last March 24, 2026, the 2nd Professional Learning Session successfully gathered student services personnel for a meaningful and empowering learning experience focused on mental wellness, resilience, and sustainable compassionate service.
Facilitated by Mr. Michael A. Mendoza, MAEd, RGC, RPm, CHRA, the session centered on the theme “Compassion Without Exhaustion: Strengthening Mental Health Support for Student Services Personnel.” The discussion highlighted the importance of balancing professional dedication with personal well-being, especially for individuals who continuously provide care, guidance, and support to students.
Through insightful discussions, reflective activities, and practical strategies, participants were encouraged to recognize the value of self-care, emotional resilience, and mental health awareness in maintaining effective and compassionate service. The session emphasized that supporting others becomes more meaningful and sustainable when caregivers themselves are supported, heard, and empowered.
More than a professional development activity, the second Professional Learning Session became a safe and inspiring space for participants to reflect on their experiences, strengthen their commitment to service, and renew their passion for student support.
The successful conduct of the session reflects the institution’s continued commitment to fostering holistic professional growth among student services personnel. By prioritizing mental health and well-being, the institution ensures that those who serve the students remain equipped, resilient, and compassionate in fulfilling their mission.
As the Professional Learning Sessions continue, participants are reminded that true service is not only measured by dedication to others, but also by the ability to sustain oneself with balance, care, and purpose.
Together, the institution continues to build a community of competent professionals and compassionate champions of student well-being.
