The Student Character Formation and Welfare Development Unit, together with the Student Peer Discipline Agents (SPDA), successfully conducted the seminar titled “Life-Saving Skills: Bandaging, Patient Carries, and Psychological First Aid” on May 28, carrying the theme “Love in Action: Bandage, Carry, and Calm.” The activity aimed to equip participants with essential knowledge and practical skills needed to respond effectively during emergency situations while emphasizing the importance of compassion and care.

The seminar was led by resource speakers Ms. Maria Lourdes J. Javier and Mr. Bien M. Añonuevo, who guided participants through proper bandaging techniques, safe patient carrying procedures, and psychological first aid approaches. Through their discussions and demonstrations, attendees gained valuable insights on how to provide immediate assistance and emotional support during times of crisis.

Beyond the technical skills acquired, the event highlighted that true service goes beyond action—it is rooted in kindness, empathy, and the willingness to help others. Participants were reminded that every skill learned can become a meaningful contribution in protecting and supporting lives.

The seminar served as a reminder that preparedness and compassion go hand in hand. By developing life-saving abilities and strengthening the spirit of service, participants became more capable of responding with confidence, care, and love in action.
