T.R.E.A.D. Program Clears BJMP Regional Approval

The Transformative Rehabilitation through Education, Advancement, and Development (T.R.E.A.D.) Program has moved into its final implementation phase following approval from the BJMP Regional Office. In a confirmation meeting held on February 5, officials signaled a transition from planning to operational setup for this collaborative educational initiative.

The T.R.E.A.D. Program provides Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs) with access to tertiary education and life skills. By offering college-level schooling within the facility, the program aims to facilitate successful societal reintegration and provide inmates with viable career paths upon release.

KLD is currently fulfilling the BJMP’s procedural requirements to finalize the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA). This documentation ensures the academic program aligns with the Bureau's security protocols. The final step for the initiative is a formal presentation to the City Mayor for executive approval. Once signed, the program will officially begin its mission to modernize rehabilitation through higher education.
