The Kolehiyo ng Lungsod ng Dasmariñas (KLD) held its yearly Employees’ Development Activities (EDA) 2026 from January 28 to 30 under the theme “Empowering minds, Discovering Potentials, and Aspiring for Tomorrow”. Spearheaded by the Office of the Vice President for Regal Formation and Mission, Research and External Affairs, the three-day program focused on broadening faculty members and support staff’s knowledge, fostering meaningful intellectual exchange, and strengthening practices, policies, and pedagogy, while enhancing personal and professional competencies in the workplace.
The program started with an opening message from the KLD President and College Administrator, Dr. Juanito O. Cabanias, LPT. This was followed by a lecture on "Future's Thinking" delivered by Dr. Lizan E. Perante-Calina, Dean of the Graduate School of Public and Development Management (GSPDM) at the Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP). The second session centered on "Program Accreditation," led by Dr. Rejan Tadeo, Head of Quality Management at the Universidad de Manila. In the afternoon session, employees participated in a lecture on "Ethics in AI in Education," presented by Dr. Khenilyn Petalbo-Lewis, Associate Professor at Cavite State University-Trece Martires City. On the second day, the event featured a session about "Personality Development," delivered by Dr. Dan August B. Nanao, RPsy, CQP, Vice President for Global HR Employee Listening at JPMorgan Chase. The morning event concluded with a "6S Roll Out," led by Maria Lourdes Javier, Lead of the Quality Management System Unit.
For the last day, the program featured "Ethics Training - Upskilling for Research Advisers," facilitated by Jocelyn Siochi, Chair of the Department of Teacher Education, and Dr. Andrea Francia, Assistant Professor, both from Cavite State University, Carmona. The 3-day event concluded with a “Team-Building Challenge”, an afternoon of fun and games where employees gathered to strengthen engagement and collaboration. There has been also a ceremonial signing of the KLD Quality Policy Statement participated in by the members of the Management Committee and an awarding ceremony for the winners of the games. The three-day event was successfully implemented and received positive feedback from the participants.
